I immediately became excited by the prospect of being based aboard a boat, and the name&nbsp;<em>Floating Point Statistics<\/em> was born. Sadly, however, my inquiries were never answered, and I never did work there, though the name and the logo stuck. HMS President has since been moved from its Thames location to Chatham for refurbishment. Whether&nbsp;<em>Floating Point Statistics<\/em> will ever be based on a boat or near water remains to be seen&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What services does Floating Point Statistics provide?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although <em>Floating Point Statistics<\/em> specialises in clinical trials, statistical consultancy services can be provided for almost any type of quantitative research. We can advise you on the statistical aspects of planning your study, including sample size calculations, scenario simulations, choosing endpoints and input into writing study protocols and analysis plans. We have expertise in several statistical programming languages (in addition to\u00a0the industry-standard SAS, we have experience in R and Stata as well) for producing high quality tables, figures and listings.
